The present pandemic situation enhanced the demand of cloud computing and it will increase big war for cloud skills.
Cloud computing has
gained significant recognition among its users over the past few years. The
main reason behind this is its capacity of providing self-service, flexibility,
affordability, scalability as well as its pay as you use service model. As a
reader, you may have also heard cloud computing referred to as the cloud, cloud
hosting, cloud server hosting, and much more. These terms have been discussed
or explained so much but still many of us going through this article may not
have a clear conception of what is cloud computing and how it can become a boon
for a business. So, let’s get knowledge about what is cloud computing?
Cloud computing is
unlike any traditional hosting probabilities that utilize a single dedicated
server, as cloud computing utilizes virtualization technology to pool or share
resources from an underlying network of physical servers. In other terms, a
group of physical servers performs like a one big server to bring you the appropriate
resources that you generally require on demand. Cloud computing usually remits
shared computing resources, data, or software through the Internet; which is
the most general or common form of accessing the cloud. However, intranets and
dedicated networks are also used. Resources provided by the cloud consist or
comprises of networks, servers, storage, platforms, applications, along with
other services. And these resources are shared between individuals and
organizations and accessed by applications or users.
The genre of cloud based computing system has indeed transformed the entire hardware and software
operations. After the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic the entire business
scenario changed drastically where firms allowed their employees to work
remotely. This situation accelerated the use of cloud based services. As per a
recent research conducted in cloud computing segment revealed that the global
cloud computing market exceeded $330 billion in the year 2020.
Trend
of Cloud Skills in 2021
The enhanced demand of
cloud based technology after the pandemic condition sparked up the demand for
cloud skills or cloud experts in the tech market. A recent study in this
context, says the fact that India currently has a sharp figure of six lakhs
cloud practitioners. Out of the whopping 6 lakhs cloud professionals have one
cloud certification each. Around eighty
five thousand of the professionals only possess one of the top five cloud
certifications. And with gradually increased demand of cloud based services the
year 2021 can witness a big demand or war for cloud skills.
